Talking Atlantis, again!

I know there are tons of threads on the Atlantis subject and you'd probably end up pretty full of delusions or enlightened by the time you're through with them. I know the topic has been discussed, argued, and bled to the end. But--!

I've been wondering lately what people think about Atlantis in general.

What do I personally think? I find it difficult to fit it in with the proven chronology of time as far as archaeologists and other scientists have it. It is entirely possible, but it is also rather unlikely. Therefore, instead of saying that the true sources of information about it (which can all be reduced to visions, dreams, and prophecy) are incorrect, I say they're correct. But I say that part of the account is wrong. I believe Atlantis didn't exist in the past (unless you mean it was the Minoan civilization of the Mediterranean and the Aegean), but instead, it WILL exist in the future. Or perhaps it already exists in some way? Time is a very tricky thing to pin point with predicting the future--I know that from experience!

Anyway, that's just me. And you: What do you think???

Symbiote Spider-Man will show us the way to Atlantis....

I figured I would add a quick comment so that this thread would not be lost to the wonderful blessing that is spam.

I don't really give Atlantis alot of thought, but it is a concept that interests me. I am hopeful that oneday we might discover something which will shead some light on all the myths.

With all the different locations in the world where we have found old artifacts and remains of cities, I suspect that we will locate something if we have not already.

I am not so worried about trying to fit it in history, afterall with alot of things that occured in the past, all we have is a general idea and that information is subject to change at a whim when we make a new discovery.

It is a process that will continue until find an answer.

Default History almost always repeats itself when things are lost in the sands of time.

History tends to repeat itself when it comes to what it's forgotten. It's likely that it existed at some point due to everything thrown around about it. Maybe not by that name in history, but I think it most definitely existed. For every ton of fiction, there tends to be an ounce or more of truth. It's impossible to sort through the psycho babble enough to pinpoint the reality though without literally recreating it. As it's such a fascination, someone is bound to come up with a way to make it reality again, though probably great in it's own way and not exactly like the original.
