Hello all,
I am a teenager that has been meditating for about a year. My main meditative focus has been vipissana and it has done wonders for my life so far. Very soon after i started meditating i became aware to something which i considered to be energy. this visual energy has not gone away since i first became aware of it, and at times it seems to be much more intense. The best way i can describe this energy would bee an always fluent/vibrating/pulsing sensation everywhere. I have recently started looking at auras as well but am still new to this. If anyone can help me understand these experiences this would be alot of help. thanks - flash |

I would love to know about this 'seeing energy' phenomenon though. I wonder if anyone here who claims to be able to 'see energy' would come and explain it to me - what is it that you are able to see supposedly.

Hmm...... Tell me what you see and I'll explain what energy looks like to you ok? I just want to make sure.

Hello kids! (I'm 24 now, so I can totally say that and mean it, too!)
Anyway, there's energy all around us at all times. Energy belies the universe and helps it stay together. Personally, I have had too much training in science to take to a supernatural source of energy that cannot be measured or seen except by "special people" but I would concede that it is possible for human beings (any human beings) to experience natural energy in an altered state of consciousness. Think about this for a bit: The human eye captured and sends billions of bytes of information to the brain, but only a small part of that gets processed as the world we see and experience. Why? Because it doesn't matter to the brain if the wrinkle in that woman's navy blue suit is at a 32-degree angle on an incline plane along her thigh. (That's just to give a mundane example.) Unless, of course, you're checking her out and then it MATTERS to you! It's likely you'll notice her and every detail about her. There's another thing: Our consciously perceived world hinges on memory. When raw visual information enters the brain, it must be matched up and identified based on what you know and remember. If you do not know what you're seeing, though, the experience becomes novel and interesting. You become curious and lack words to explain it. So we dub it all sorts of things: astral bodies and auras, spirits, ethereal energies, and so on. Perhaps we're just seeing the world of energy and matter (at a microscopic level, perhaps) that we are very rarely aware of because (get this) it just doesn't matter to our brains and our continued survival. But if we CARE about it and look for it, then our brains will begin to recognize the patterns in the "background noise" and we'll begin to see reality in a fuller/amplified spectrum. So... What are you seeing? I can't tell you with absolute certainty. All I can say is this: The human mind is full of mysteries and quite a few "paranormal" things are probably just within the outer limits of human ability. Study physics, brain science, and so on. That should give you an answer.
